1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Nihonfren mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Nihonfren is a Japanese language learning application that helps users prepare for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) from N5 to N1. The App provides tools for learning hiragana, katakana, kanji, and vocabulary through adaptive SRS-powered lessons, quizzes, and practice sessions.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

5. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the App, to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your information.

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Nihonfren and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the App. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content in connection with the App.

8. Subscription and Payment

Some features of the App may require a subscription. Subscription fees are charged through your app store account. You agree to pay all fees associated with your subscription. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL NIHONFREN BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, INCURRED BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Nihonfren operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms in the App. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
